There are 2 types of engraving: mode Track at Ounce and mode Disk at Ounce. The choice is made according to the type of CD which they want to accomplish. That is why, it is essential to know in which cases is used every mode. The selection of writing method is made at the time of the launching of the engraving. |
This method consists in engraving the CD there only once. After the engraving, the CD is considered as ended.
The laser of the engraver should not be interrupted during process because it has no landmark if he loses his position. That is why multisession is incompatible with this engraving method.
With this mode, the revision of the CD is therefore compulsory.
The mode
lorque Disk At Once will be therefore used rather they would like to engrave a CD (of musics or data without multisessions for example) there only once.
Contrary to mode Disk at Ounce, Track At Once allows to engrave a CD there several times. It is therefore the mode used for one CD of data multisessions.
The laser of the engraver inserts invisible marks between tracks (
audios and data) by way of landmarks to follow the engraving.
As long as the CD is not finalised or as long as its maximum size is not attained, it is possible to top up data.
They will use this mode therefore to engrave CD of multisessions or quite other CD which they do not intend to engrave there only once.
