Windows XP include a tool to engrave CD of. But it was so basic that he introduces his limits very fast (no multisession, automatic revision). He is however usable for occasional operations but they preferred using a software of engraving as Nero.

Engrave an audio CD

If you want to engrave musics which you have on the computer to make a legible CD by a chain, follow stages below.

Insert your virgin CD in the CD engraver.

Choose then in the computer, musics which you want to engrave and click on 'Copying towards the audio CD '.


The reader Windows Medium Player open. Go to the tab 'Graver '.



You can change elements to engrave musics dé/cochant there. By making a right click on musics, it is possible to abolish elements of the list, to change the order of tracks, to edit beacons (name, author, album)...

The CD will be automatically finalised, that is it will not be possible any more to add / abolish musics after the engraving. Be therefore sure that the compilation of musics is suitable for you.

Click finally on 'Starting the engraving' to throw process.


Point out: in case of problem, click on to control engraving speed as well as quality.

Engrave a CD of data

If you want to engrave a CD containing various data (musics, videos, any files), follow stages below.

Insert your virgin CD in the engraver.

Then, choose files to be engraved and use 'edition / to Copy'. Go to the Workstation, then to the virgin CD. Make 'Edition / Stick'. You have so an outline of contents to engrave your CD.


With a right click, you can abolish files to be engraved. Files are only abolished of the CD to engrave and under any circumstances your hard disk. To abolish all files, use order 'Abolish the temporary files' in the menu to the left.

The CD will be finalised, that is it will not be possible any more to change contents once the performed engraving. Prove his contents therefore, please.

Click finally on 'Engraving these files on the CD-ROM'. A helper will ask you to name the CD then engraving process starts.

Remark

It is important to note that the revision prevents any modification of the engraved CD if this one is CD-R, that is to say CD réinscriptible not.

If you engrave on a réinscriptible (CD-RW) CD, it is possible to erase all contents and to engrave data again. In that case, the revision is hardly important.
