By default, the reader Windows Medium Player cannot read DivX. These last, in.avi format, the.divx are not managed by the reader. That is why it is necessary to download another reader who, on one hand, will allow to read DivX and of other one the reader Windows Medium Player will update by making him capable of reading DivX.

Download a recent reader DivX

The files which allow to read DivX are called codecs. It is necessary to prove regularly if a recent version of this codecs is had to be sure of reading most recent DivX.

Instal the file which you have just downloaded.

Read DivX with DivX Player

A reader DivX is given with codecs downloaded below. For throwing, go to 'Starting / All Programmes / DivX / DivX Player'.


Click on the small arrow above to the left then choose 'Open '. From there, open desired DivX to begin reading.

Read DivX with Windows Medium Player

If you installed codecs above, the reader Windows Medium Player will be from now on capable of reading DivX.

It is enough to launch a video normally by double-clicking the file.
